Overview: Wellington Place is situated in Detroit's Seward Avenue historic district. Once widely-recognized as the Seward Hotel, the property was abandoned in 2009 after years of decline. Wolverine Building Group developed plans to renovate the building into modern loft apartments, capitalizing on the revitalizing of the entire Seward Avenue corridor.

Kent Companies' Underlayments Division laid the groundwork for the renovation of the ten story building. The team poured 123,200 square feet of 1/2" Dura-Cap throughout the building. Dura-Cap is formulated to cap and flatten rough, pitted, cracked and out-of-level concrete. The application ensured that all subsequent trades had a safe level surface to complete their work and install finished floor products.

The Kent Comanies team achieved peak production of 40,000 square feet of Dura-Cap in one day. Our productivity laid the groundwork for a successful building transformation.
