Overview: Thanks in part to Therma-Floor, a single family home in Dubuque, Iowa, earned a five-star energy rating for overall energy efficiency. The home's radiant floor heating system uses 2,650 square feet of Therma-Floor as the thermal mass to enhance system responsiveness and efficiency.

Awarded by the Star Trac Energy Rated Homes of Iowa program, the five star rating is the highest home energy rating available. The rating measures how efficiently a home uses energy for heating and cooling purposes. It's calculated by collecting data on the performance of various systems within the house, including heating, ventilation and cooling systems.
