Jerome Center
Dura-Cap® used in community center gymnasium
Location:
Santa Ana, CA
Maxxon
Dealer:
Cell-Crete Corporation
General
Contractor:
Lehman Construction
|
Scope:
- 6,500 sq. ft. of Dura-Cap, poured at depths ranging from 0"-3" over concrete
Cell-Crete Corporation’s Chalmer Lumary was contacted by Lehman Construction to find a solution for a gym floor which was out of level. As an alternative to a competitors system, he recommended Maxxon’s Dura-Cap to prepare the subfloor for a new hardwood floor.
After meeting with the owner, general contractor and architect, Chalmer was able to demonstrate how the Dura-Cap system was going to raise the outside elevations of the floor (up to 3” in some spots) to prepare for the finished gym floor. This system provided the right solution and also ended up reducing the cost to the owner.
Cell-Crete’s trained crew poured 6,500 square feet of Dura-Cap and the owner, general contractor and hardwood floor installer were all pleased with the finished product. Dura-Cap was an excellent choice for this renovation and once again, Maxxon’s trained installers were able to find a solution for a difficult floor challenge.
