Project Spotlight Golden Era Productions
Overview: The original specification called for 3/4" Gyp-Crete® on the first and second floor rooms and corridors. Upon inspection, the floors had lots of areas that had been cut out and replaced with plywood at various thicknesses, so a pour greater than 3/4" was needed. Maxim Floors recommended Moistop and metal lath to the contractor. He explained that Maxim Floors could install the Moistop and metal lath on the first and second floor areas, preventing leaks from all the cut-outs and saving the contractor the time that would be required to patch all the plywood. Because of the end use of the project, Maxim also suggested Dura-Cap® for a higher strength floor.
