Overview: The Muses is a large-scale, multifamily, mixed income apartment development being built in part of New Orleans that was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina. The development, a 263-unit apartment complex, will soon be certified as the first LEED® NC-Silver multi-family development in Louisiana. To achieve LEED® NC Silver Certification the developers paid careful attention to site selection, innovative energy use, and the usage of “green” building materials. Gyp-Crete 2000/3.2K was used throughout the units, contributing valuable points toward LEED® project certification. Gyp-Crete 2000/3.2K will also provide tenants with fire safety and added sound deadening.
